So I'm sitting in Study period contemplating what to do for the next hour. It's 9:40 and I'm hanging out for recess. It seems sleeping later and missing breakfast wasn't the best decision ever made.
I could do some maths homework, but frankly, I'd rather die. I have no intention of boring my eyes out, or using any more brain cells than would be necessary.
And I really dislike this teacher. I don't even know her name, and don't really want to know it. I believe the disregard and dislike I feel towards her is mutual. It's not my fault that she thinks every time someone speaks they're talking about unrelated subjects to school. If she actually had ears that weren't developed in the Dark Ages so she could register modern-human speak, she would have noticed that I was clearly discussing the lit-essay that I haven't started working on yet.
I'v decided that instead of doing actual work, which would mean less to be done after school - not that I'd do half of it anyway - I'm going to waste my time writing this. It will give the teacher the impression that I'm being a diligent, honest, hard-working student, while really I'm releasing my pent-up loathing for her on paper in a non-violent, non-combative way. In other words, instead of throwing something at her and her ugly pinkish top which she is wearing over another black top, I get to bitch about her here. I mean what the hell? Who wears two tops at once, unless you're in some forsaken Scandinavian country where the sun don't shine. Why do teachers always wear grey trousers. I can't stand them. They make fat teachers look fatter and thin teachers look...bad.
If I were a teacher, which would be my last resort after going through an Arts degree then realising I had no intention of continuing onto Law, so would have to choose between the equally stressful jobs of psychologist or teacher, where you'd have to deal with several psychotic people that probably hate you, which is probably why I'd choose psychology because then I'd only get one of those people at a time, rather than an entire class of them...
Anyway, I've I were a teacher, I'd make sure to only wear black pants, or skirts and dresses...maybe jeans on free dress days. (Everyone loves those days when teachers come to school looking like they're homeless, or just woken up - when we see them for the people they really are...) Just no grey trousers. Or brown, for that matter. Or pinstriped. I mean, seriously?
In 20 minutes I've written more than I'll get done on my literature essay tonight. Thankfully that's due Friday, not today like it was originally meant to be...
And the teacher is sitting there going through some unfortunate student's homework or assignment or something. She looks like my Nanna - how she looked 40 years ago...back in the sixties, when haircuts like that were still in fashion.
Okay so I think I've done enough teacher bashing for one day. I mean it's not like I even hate her that much. I just don't like it when I get told off for something I didn't do. Like homework, for example...
But right now I really just want to get out of here. I'd love it if I were sent out, even. I can pretty much see people's brains fizzle up and die around me. Please, can someone come in and ask 'Who died?' I'm not even kidding. This class screams funeral. And if I die of boredom in the next twenty minutes then hey, I guess we'll get to have one.

Jack & Jill
She wore that dress like it was a Saturday
Pretty as a summer rose picked in the morning
And he held her hand like it was a mystery
One he couldn't quite believe
Just walking with him
They were high up on a hill
Something to say, and daylight to kill
Time slipped away, the way that it will
Around and around
Dancing 'round the question
Flip a coin and watch it go down
Into the wishing well
Two steps unset there goes another day,
Another chance to give away the secrets
To keep to themselves.
They were high up on a hill
Something to say, daylight to kill.
Time slipped away, the way that it will.
Darkness falls without a sound
They come tumbling down,
Tumbling after, tumbling after
She wore that dress like it was a Saturday
Pretty as a summer rose picked in the morning
And he held her hand like it was a mystery
One he couldn't quite believe
Just walking with him
They were high up on a hill
Something to say, and daylight to kill
Time ticked away, the way that it will.

Such Is Life
There are moments in life that make you and set the course of who you’re going to become.
Sometimes they’re little, subtle moments. Sometimes, they’re big moments that you never even saw coming.
No one asks for their life to change, but it does.
It’s what you do afterwards that counts. That’s when you find out who you really are.
So it wasn't the smartest thing to forget to pack my school shoes.
I mean, if I'd forgotten to pack my boots, it wouldn't really have mattered. But school shoes, I'm meant to wear 5 days of the week? It turned out okay though, I got to feel tres rebellious and wear some other black shoes I happened to have packed. Funny thing is, none of the teachers seemed to notice or said anything the entire week. Well anyway, my sister brought them on her day off from uni on Thursday, so it's all good. Even though in some ways I'd rather wear my other shoes for the rest of the term. Would have been sweet.
I have some other things to talk about but I'll put that in a separate post. Might as well keep things relevant, right?
But on the school note, I've decided to attempt to go for Art Captain. VOTE FOR ME.
I mean I don't really care if I don't get it, but there's no harm in trying...even if I have only been at the school for a year and a half. >.>
So until next post, which will be some time later tonight...
Walk slowly and drink lots of water. :)
What a stupid saying! Just saying. Oh, I'm hilarious.

Strawberry Fields Forever
Sometimes the hardest things in life are letting go - of the people you know, places you know.
But at some point, you have to do it, get out of your comfort zone, otherwise there's no way of moving on.
So take the risk. Who knows what could be waiting for you?
At least that's what I'm telling myself. Moving into the school boarding house in a few hours, and not sure whether to be excited or afraid. So let's all be optimistic about it, yeah?

From The Ritz To The Rubble
So there are some people I just don't talk to anymore. It's not their fault, I guess I'm just... lazy. Or they're just dull, boring and repetitive. Joking.
And there are the few I just choose to avoid, but they're in the minority. So to all the others, sorry. But the whole 'putting effort into the friendship' thing is mutual. So if you don't put any effort in either, maybe...we just shouldn't be friends.

deliberate misquote
If you had one shot, one opportunity.
To have everything you ever wanted;
Even if it meant hurting someone you care about,
One moment. Would you take it?
Or let it slip?

Always Look On The Bright Side of Life
On The Bright Side is today. And no, I'm not going. How am I feeling about that? Devastated and deeply regretting not buying a ticket.
In case you don't know what it is (How could you not?!), it's a music festival consisting (this year) of Mumford & Sons, The Strokes, Angus & Julia Stone, Bluejuice, The Middle East, Band of Horses, Art Vs Science, and Hot Chip.
As my more amusing posts seem to be when I'm complaining about something, I regret to inform you that this one isn't one of those. Not that I have nothing to whine about, it's just that defaming my family online is the last thing on my mind seeing as one day I'm going to be rich and famous (DUH) so the last thing I'll need is something to uh, destroy my reputation. Funny, no?
Anyway, as to the title of this bloggg postttt. Taken from? A quote of a wise old man? Not exactly. But I'd be happy to place Monty Python into that category. For those of you unfamiliar with Monty Python and their...work, shame on you. For they possess some of the greatest comedic minds of all time. And what can I say? They're British.
So here's a list of the funniest out there:
-Monty Python
-Lee Evans
-Catherine Tate
-The Mighty Boosh
The Mighty Boosh
And that's all I can remember off the top of my head. But it's definitely substantial enough, trust me. Go on YouTube and type up any of those, you will be kept laughing. I assure you.
And I must be off - I have a life to live. Not.

Why boys are like toothache.
So it's over. And because he has been a major part of your life, of course you'll miss him. It's perfectly normal.
It's like getting a tooth pulled out; after the dentist takes it out, after it's gone, you're relieved.
But how many times will your tongue run over the spot where the tooth used to be?
Probably a hundred times a day. Just because it was hurting you doesn't mean you don't notice it now that it doesn't. It leaves a gap, and sometimes you see yourself missing it terribly. It's going to take a while, but it takes time.
Should you have kept the tooth? No, because it was causing you pain. Pulling the tooth was the right decision, even if it's going to hurt.

blood-suckers
So I shouldn't have got home at 12 last night/morning and gone to sleep at 7. Because now I'm awake again and I don't feel so great. But I have an almost valid reason!
In HK, during one of my bored moments spent watching the TV, I came across this show called the Vampire Diaries. And I have no idea when - but I think it was - on TV screens back home because I don't usually watch any TV...
But I love this show. So I'm downloading the whole first season - 22 episodes. (Do not tell my parents that is why the internet is behaving so badly.) It's got funny moments, romantic moments (duh vampires) and suspenseful frightening moments. I mean, I hate Twilight with a passion because although it's not a shit idea (though overused/slightly unoriginal) it's just written and performed by the wrong people. And the Vampire Diaries was a book series back when Stephanie Meyers was in nappies. No, I take that back, she's not that young.
And apart from all those *moments*, here's the other reason why all sane girls - and some guys, of course - should watch this show:
You know you want to.

Stefan Salvatore. Vampire. Good Vampire. In love with Elena, protagonist.
Mmhmm. Six pack.
Stefan and his evil brother Damon.
Damon Salvatore. Vampire. Bad vampire.
Couldn't find many photos of this guy (the one below is from some random other show)
Matt Donovan, school jock. In love with main girl Elena.
Jeremy Gilbert, brother of the main girl, cute or what?
Ben. Evil vampire. Haven't seen enough of him to know what happens to him.
And there's quite a few others as well, but I couldn't find any decent pictures of them...
Conclusion? Watch this series. NOW.

...there were funky China men, from funky China-town
Word of the day:
Asian - of or relating to or characteristic of Asia or the peoples of Asia or their languages or culture. Asians are usually smart and have the following aspects although not limited to:
1. straight A's
2. strict parents
3. good at Maths and Science
4. superb exam scores
5. some can dance
6. good at video games
7. generally dominates at anything they set out to do.synonyms: oriental, stingy, smart, awesome but not as awesome as Eurasians. :)
So I went to Hong Kong recently. I had the intention of putting here a big sort of daily journal entry thing for my trip, inclusive of photos, (eek Identity theft!) but instead of boring you to death with every little detail I thought was amusing at the time, here’s a shorter...blurb thing.
Couldn't find a 'quote of the day' with the any Asians in it. Please, if you have one, give it. Now.

Hong Kong. A place full of history, asian people, and lots of tourists from all over the world. Some hot. Some not. A place where you’d see thousands of different people, each day, that you wouldn’t see in a month back home. A place where there is such a variety of food and shopping places you wouldn’t want to leave.
But then there’s the weather. Because in summer this place is 35 degrees, with at least 97% humidity. Which means you will be sweating the moment you leave the airport to the moment you walk back in through those doors. And then there are the people who don’t know what deodorant is. And somewhere along with them there are those seedy men you will find around every corner, in every shop, restaurant, swimming pool, hotel lobby, train station, tram and bus. No kidding. Dress like nuns, ladies, tis the only way you can avoid them...
I guess every place has its upsides and downsides, you gotta hope it’s more of the former.
Couldn't find a 'quote of the day' with the any Asians in it. Please, if you have one, give it. Now.
